Welcome
- This is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations.
- Deuteronomy 4:6
The Homestead College of Bible was established to spread knowledge of
the Bible as the mainstay of a healthy Christian civilization.
It is the College's vision to bring knowledge of the Bible, through degree
programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to men and women at their
places of residence.
The College is chartered in the State of Florida as a not-for-profit
corporation, and under the Florida Department of Education is answerable
to the Commission for Independent Education. In addition the First
District Court of Appeals of the Florida Supreme Court ruled unanimously
in favor of Homestead College of Bible for total Bible education, 1973.
My father, Dr. Arnold V. Pent, founded The Homestead College of Bible
in 1964. He was a graduate of Wheaton College and Philadelphia College of
Bible (formerly The Bible Institute of Pennsylvania), and he became convinced,
as he said, "that all the wisdom I ever received from books written by men,
came either directly or indirectly from the Bible." From this belief, he began
to formulate a college-level education strategy that used the 66 books of the
Bible as a framework. The fruits of my father's labor became the foundation for
The Homestead College of Bible.
In the further development of The Homestead College of Bible, together
with the Graduate School, I also have become convinced —that the Bible is the
one indispensable and completely reliable source of learning, wisdom and
understanding, both for personal life, and for public and professional
practice.
On behalf of the faculty and students from over the nation and the world, I
want to thank you for your interest in The Homestead College of Bible.
Sincerely yours,
David A. Pent
